This officer has breached the standards required of his office, aided a known criminal, and brought the Queensland Police into disrepute. The disciplinary actions brought by QPS are utterly inadequate. The public, especially the vulnerable, must be protected, not be at the whims of violent offenders.

He breached this woman's rights to safety.
He assisted and encouraged a criminal to harrass and intimidate. He knowingly and deliberately passed on confidential information to others.
I can not believe that you are not treating this police officer like the criminal that he is.

The police role is to protect and serve. Punchard has done neither.

I'm fortunate that I have not needed the services of police thus far in my life but in the event that I do, I would expect that all officers would treat me with the respect I am entitled to, would keep my information confidental and ensure that their actions as individuals and collectively would be carried out in a manner that kept me safe.
It's abhorrent to me that a police officer would disclose to a known perpetrator the address of a victim for the sole purpose being that the perpetrator could continue to harass and harm.
It's beyond my belief that the officer who did this is still a serving member.
He has bought the reputation of the Queensland Police Force into disrepute and that alone should be sackable.
As a new resident of Queensland, I'm appalled.

How many women and children have to die in Australia until Governments, Police and the courts do something. This officer deserves to lose his job? Why is QPS protecting him?

The fact police have swept this under carpet and allowed this man to remain in QPS is shameful and shows how little the service helps DV victims.

It's inconceivable to me that this man still has a job. Seriously?? He should be fired, and then charged with endangering the lives of this woman and her children. This is a complete disgrace. Please do the right thing.

This is a disgrace. As a parent I am told I am supposed to teach my children that police officers are there to help us. How can I possibly do that?
