Senior Constable Neil Punchard should be sacked

How on earth could you even consider the possibility of keeping this man on the force after what he did? There is no reasonable justification for doing so. All it would serve to do is to reinforce the belief amongst police and the public, that they continue to be above the law regardless of what they do. What an utterly terrifying proposition. As is, it's an indictment on the force that you are even considering the possibility of NOT sacking him.

Neil Punchard showed a complete disregard for the rules and this poor wife And her children. He displayed an arrogance unwanted by QPS and in my opinion should be sacked .

The police use their database all the time to mine personal information for their personal use, or to hand out to members of the public they are associated with. Anyone who has experienced this knows it to be a fact. The exact same situation happened here locally, well one person got caught doing it at that command when there were many more. Anyone who thinks the police can be trusted is 100% kidding themselves. Officers from that same command this year have been charged with fraud, intimidation, and possessing child porn. A real peach of a station. All articles can easily be found online.

Just heard about this "senior constable neil punchard" NOT being sacked, NOT being convicted, NOT having any conviction against his name, then a 2 mth sentence over turned by a magistrate. WHO is getting paid under the table, WHO is helping mates in the police force. WHAT a lot of crap. To you neil punchard, I respect your uniform and rank, but YOU personally are a Fracking Pr.. I'm sure if you want to track me down and face me, then go ahead. And you wonder why blokes like me WON'T travel to queensland for either holiday or move address. Shove YOU, Shove QLD!!!!! Teddy

He puts a woman’s life at risk, and puts the Qld Police Force in a shameful light. He should be sacked and charged.

Wasn't the victim suffering enough at the hands of his old mate? When will we realise that we have no idea what goes on behind the closed doors of friends and colleagues?

How dare this man use his position of power to place a victim of DV in further danger. And how dare the QLD premier allow him to stay employed. QLD police and the QLd premier need to hang their head in shame. Disgusting.

I'd just LOVE the name, address and a photo of this poor ladies ex. Definately worthy of my first crime as a 72 year old Aussie war veteran.
