I'm am saddened and extremely disturbed by the transfer of students to the new Hwy 9 school. Our children will no longer have the support staff they need, especially my children who receive IEP speech services. Also, it will be a longer, more dangerous drive, require them to be torn away from their friends, and destroy teamwork.

The farther the school, the greater the travel time for children on buses in the morning and afternoon. For safety and time already spent in travel, the children should be located in the school that is closest to their development.

It is a concern to bus our children to schools further away than necessary. Hembree Springs or Sweet Apple would be appropriate for the Houze Way children and keep them off of busy roads/intersections.

Keep the kids and parents from driving across busy four lane highways when there are much better and safer alternatives.

The proximity of Hembree Springs and Sweet Apple to our neighborhood follow the FCSB's travel time and mileage criteria. Highway 9 does not.

We are adamantly opposed to redistricting our neighborhood to Hwy 9 for the reasons stated. There are alternate options that make so much more sense. Please let the voice of reason prevail on this important issue for the sake of our children.

We urge you to rule favorably on this petition based on the proximity of our neighborhood (Chatham Park) to Sweet Apple Elementary and in regard for the safety of the students residing in our community.

We are absolutely opposed to the redistricting of the Grand Veridian subdivision. Leave our students at Hembree Springs and utilize other solutions.

Safety FIRST for the children means preventing long bus rides on busy highways by sending them just up the street.

We need to consider the children's safety going across busy road ways.

Using the FCS criteria, Grand Veridian children should be zoned for Hembree Springs or Sweet Apple. Is there a hidden agenda that warrants redistricting to Highway 9?

Please zone us to a school that is closer in proximity. Busing kids to Hwy 9, across so much traffic is completely unnecessary when Sweet Apple is much closer and keeps the kids off such busy and dangerous roads.

We are extremely concerned for the safety of our children while being bussed across a dangerous intersection to the Hwy 9 school. Please don't force our young children to endure a treacherous bus route to attend a school that is farther away from our subdivision than Sweet Apple. I believe safety should be your first concern, as it is ours.
