My husband has done 20 long years been there since he was 16 and I must say it's has really turned him into an amazing man. please free him to his family.

It is so unjust to be given hope of a second chance trusting that by doing everything you can to show that you have; repented of your previous wrong doings, taken advantage of the rehabilitation process, obtained educational, social interactive & vocational/technical skills, obtained and do apply spiritually renewed positive values, morals and principals, been trusted to perform in leadership roles in teaching, serving, grooming and building the lives of others and yet there is not "enough" fairness, mercy or forgiveness in the justice system to say we care, we recognize, we believe you deserve a second chance. This bill gives true hope of life in the free world for our incarcerated, 1st conviction, life sentenced, love ones and their families who are also serving time for a crime they did not commit. Does it take a nature life sentence to turn a life around? Not for everyone. Help us keep hope alive before it remains lost under the previous deceptive guise of penal $$ reform. These funds can be of greater use for our education system, health care, homelessness, child welfare, crime prevention, etc..

I have a love one in Louisiana State Prison & Harrison County Adult Detention Center. They are missed & loved by plenty of people! LSP inmates has been down over 20yrs & it wasn't his crime. He was named in a plea bargain because they didn't have evidence to solve the crime. I just don't understand. HCADC he served time for probation violation now he has the same charge twice and was given a year for probation violation. When inmates have rolled in and out within two days for probation violation with a control substance. How is that so? Help is very much needed to freed these men!
