Why Not? After 10 to 15 yrs. Locked up especially after age 50, is enough time for an inmate to prove hisself to become a productive Citzen. Let's give them a second chance. If u gonna start changing things around for our State.La. then u need to do this also, make room for others and cutting down on some extra expense. The minority of the people are wanting to see changes all the way around.

It will give those that have been incarcerated for years, turned their life around and now dedicated to bettering the life of others a chance to make a difference. I have seen it firsthand. It is good to see that the state of Louisiana is giving these first time offenders that have been in the penial system for far too long. The youth from the big cities have no mentor ship to guide them in the right direction, hopefully we can find a way to deter these negative behaviors and also find other ways to guide them from prison system instead of throwing their lives away like they are trash.
