I feel this petition is giving these young men a second chance to become productive citizens in every day life... I approve this petition free these men in women to there family's.

I am a firm believer that everyone deserves a second chance at living a productive life. Most lifers have served at least 15 years or more and I believe within that time frame they have matured, learned basic job skills that will help them to gain meaningful employment. Most we young men when they entered 19-25 since then they've matured accepted their responsibility for whatever crime they had committed at the time and has gained skills and knowledge to re enter society to be productive..

This is very badly needed. The concept and thought put into this bill is very much needed. I would pray that the legislature would do what is right and pass this bill.

My brother has been locked up for over 20 years. He got locked up at age 17 for murder but no one, and I do mean NO ONE bothered to pay attention to the fact that it was LITERALLY SELF-DEFENSE in it's purist form. All that was seen was a young black male with a gun. He is now in his 40's.

We founded this country on the belief of God we say in God we trust at what point do we forgive and allow a person another opportunity to do the right thing if we never release them how will we know the person they could becone

My brother Curtis J. Frank who is now 51 years old has been incarcerate 91st Angola State Prison for 25 years and my friend Albert Waddles who is now 53 years old has been incarcerated at Angola State Prison for 35 years they are both first time offenders. I ask that the governments would consider giving them a second chance at life again.

Please revise the current Parole Eligibility for first time offenders if the person has served good time and done everything possible to change give them the opportunity to live their live a member of society. Most 1st Offenders who served more than 20 years should get a pardon. Most are elderly at this time & should be able to live their last years around family. I know all cases are different but there are many who served their time for the crime.
