All prisoners who are 45 years old and served 20 years should be released. This would be good for all concerned.

I think this is way over due. Several 1st time offenders get bad raps and take pleas due to Louisiana's terrible justice system. This need to stop wasting our tax payers money on wrongfully accused 1st time offenders. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance. If they go in the system as no contest they will surely come out criminals because there is no reform in Louisiana.

I have met numerous inmates through KARIOS Ministries and I think it is terrible that some who are serving life sentences without chances of parole were teenagers at the time of there crime and first offence. They are forgotten even though the federal law has changed on not being able to give juveniles life without parole.

Non violent offenders are being locked up with murderers and given life with no reform. ENOUGH! We need reform! Especially in Louisiana!

We funnel money to corrections, half of these offenders are safer than our streets. We have so many things to do to strengthen our state, and being tough on crime doesn't being stupid about whom to keep and who can be released. They were young and foolish and keeping them incarcerated is foolishness.
