In light of a known rapist and abuser attending classes on the main campus of Kennesaw State University we demand that the student recreation center put in place self defense and weapons defense classes for women attending this university. Due to Kennesaw State University not taking proper action of expulsion against this individual has instilled fear in many of the women attending this university who demand to feel safe while attending class. Let it be clear that these should not be an hour long seminars. These should be classes taught once or twice a week by a certified professional in order for women to successfully defend themselves in the event of assault.

This rape culture needs to END. A good step going forward until that day is helping people defend themselves.

It's a matter of safety and should be viewed as such. All lives matter, and a little extra measure such as this could mean the difference between life and death. I hope K.S.U. cares enough to find the funds for this program.
