Selena Quintanilla-Perez deserves to be placed in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame because she is the Queen of Tejano music. Selena broke barriers for women in the Tejano music industry that was dominated solely by men. Selena portrayed a positive image and this influence resonates to this present day. Her loyalty to her cultural roots is why she is so beloved by the Hispanic community. Yet, she was tragically murdered, but this does not take away from her legacy. A true artist of the people deserves this great recognition.
