Members of the North Kingstown School Committee have lost the confidence of the community considering the results of their own investigation and recent civil lawsuit filed against them stemming from the naked fat testing abuse and because of their failure to protect the welfare and safety of students entrusted to their care.
The primary role of members of the School Committee is that they are “statutorily responsible for oversight of the North Kingstown School Department”, but their dereliction of duty and refusal to properly act time and again from the moment they were made aware of credible evidence of child abuse has led us to the conclusion that we cannot trust them to choose our next Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.

The stories shared in the comments regarding the lack of accountability here are heartbreaking but unfortunately not surprising. I am currently working to ensure these experiences reach the right people who have the power to demand a fair process for our children.

Seeing this kind of momentum confirms that I am not the only one who feels this deep betrayal by those supposed to protect our children. It breaks my heart that it took a lawsuit to bring these issues to light, but I am encouraged that so many people refuse to settle for the status quo.

NK citizens must procure new NK School Superintendent !! The NK School Board has proven it'self untrustworthy for this critical function !!
The rest of the residents should have a look at who will comprise the entire board of decision-makers in the school department.
The elected SC has failed to follow established procedures and policies of the town of North Kingstown and the State of Rhode Island. I have lost all faith of this SC to act responsibly since they have not honored the oath that they took when they were sworn in.
Under the circumstances of investigations, allegations of malfeasance, and lack of oversight, I have no trust in the school committee to choose a proper selection of any permanent employees at this time.
this sc is currently under investigation and part of a civil lawsuit alleging negligence. they should not be post of the process to select a new superintendent.
