Please restore this hero his rights.. aand set him free so he can take care of his son like his fellow soldiers when he was in combat... He is not a Criminal... please restore his 2nd amendment rights..

The NY SafeAct is a travesty of justice and a feelgood measure brought about by a political system rife with corruption and anti-Constitution beliefs. This man has served his country well and now faces severe jail time for possessing stamped aluminum and springs. He would have been better off if he committed a forcible rape. The misguided law only served to make criminals out of good people.

To think that this guy did anything wrong is just plain stupid!! Cuomo has no place in politics & the safe act should be repealed as it does more harm than good. Jail time should be for those who actually harm people.......like cuomo!!

The Safe Act is a fraud. The 2nd amendment doesn't say freedom of arms "with reservation". Is this how we say thanks to a veteran who risked his life to defend the Constitution?

Absolutely wrong to treat any law abiding citizen this way much less a honorable veteran who can legally posess a handgun anyay and there was NO FIREARM in the vehicle just magazines what did they think he will do throw them at people? For goodness sake just wrong on so many levels.

Every American has the right to carry and own weapons and ammunition no matter the amount. It is in our 2nd amendment. I feel he should be released of all ammunition charges.

To send this man to prison for even one day would be a gross miscarriage of justice. He has a stellar record for serving our country militarily and as a civilian. He deserves leniency for certain.

Please grant this hero leniency. The weapons were secured. The SAFE act is a bad idea. This is not a terrorist with no criminal record. I find it interesting the officer hadn't turned on his body cam before even approaching this man. I find it funny he was arrested after requesting the body cam on.

Honorable Judge Murphy,
I humbly request that you grant leniency upon Mr. Mokhiber, a veteran, and law abiding citizen who has served his country honorably. Axiom's of our system are the principles of malum in se, and malum prohibitum. The actions of Mr. Mokhiber were not inherently evil, but rather criminalized via the stroke of an unconstitutional law. As we are both aware, one cannot be forced to dispose of property that was legally possessed prior to the implementation of an unjust law. Your honor, Mr. Mokhiber is not a criminal, therefore I ask that you do not sentence him as such. An appropriate penalty is a conditional discharge.
