Seeking Leniency for SAFE Act Convicted American Veteran

Safe act is as effective as the tsa. Both a joke and overstep.

This is ridiculous. Criminals don't obey gun laws - so the only things these laws are doing is exactly this kind of crap where law abiding citizens are being punished for nonsense. As another person said, self protection should not be criminalized. This is unconstitutional. We do not support Cuomo's unconstitutional NY Safe Act and demand that it be repealed. This man has done nothing wrong. Criminals belong in prison, not this man.

I beseech the court for its leniency for this Honorable veteran.

This is too severe a punishment no intent to do harm. This was an unfortunate mistake not a threat of someone to do harm. His children need him.

He is obviously being a responsible gun owner as everything was locked up. Isn't that who the safe act is truly targeting? RESPONSIBLE gun owners. The real criminals couldn't careless about locking up ANYTHING to keep ANYONE safe. The "safe act" is a complete joke . IT needs to be over turned.

This so called high capacity magazine law is a travesty.

This "law" is turning good people into worse criminals than murderers and rapists. Why? Because of personal agendas and party politics by Andrew Cuomo. Any law contrary to the Constitution is repugnant and should be considered void- paraphrasing James Madison.

REPEAL THE NY SAFE ACT NOW!

I've known Mr. Mokhiber since 2001 when we served together in the 82nd Airborne. He fought bravely in the Iraq invasion. He is an honest and honorable man who loves his country and family. Incarceration is inappropriate and unnecessary for my comrade. Please consider lenient alternatives.

The "SAFE act" is unconstitutional and unenforceable.

If he's jailed he'll be a political prisoner. Safe act was illegally signed into law and is unconstitutional.
