As a former Correction Officer of 26 years .I have seen people with Murder/Manslaughter/Rape/ and Drug dealing face far less time for their crimes. These were mags that 15 minutes from my home in PA would still be legal and in most of the USA.While he did violate the law.His service to our country and his duty to his young boy would suggest probation at most.

Passed "in the dark" by emotional legislative activists with no knowledge of firearms or the real harm the "law" causes.

The safe act doesnt keep anyone safe except criminals that do not follow this or any other laws... the safe act violates the 2nd Ammendment and should be repealed

Please consider the manner in which the magazines were secured. There is no threat to society when they are locked in a box and no weapon in the vehicle. Here needs to be some exceptions for the transport of such items through jurisdictions that have these kinds of laws in place. The defendant secured it the best he could given the situation.

This is definitely not appropriate. He's a veteran. He's a father. No weapon was in the vehicle or in his possession at the time. Do not send this man..who defended outer country and our freedom to prison.

This is a rediculous! Is there more to the story than this? He was found not guilty of the DWI. Does this mean if the officers have any idea that a person may have a larger capacity magazine that they can make up a stop so they can search the vehicle? If that is the case, there will be a lot of false claims on the officer part.
