Giving the circumstances, leniency should have brought been given in this case. There are exceptions to every rule, and this is the exception. He should not hAve his rights to bear arms, taken from him. He should not have been arrested being that there was no intent, no reason for concern, and no risk. This is government overstepping it's boundaries and taking it to the extreme.

This simply is not right. The SAFE is unconstitutional and will hurt no one except law abiding gun owners. Another criminal by a stroke of the pen.

This law, along with Cuomo, are ridiculous and a direct threat and restriction of our Constitutional rights! I know that NY is a liberal state but it is so mainly due to NYC and not upstate, meaning north and East of Albany. Until the people stand up for the God given and Constitutional human rights more of this will happen. I pray the judge he stands before uses his common sense, this is an outrage on many levels, including the ahole cop!

His conviction would be a travesty and a slap in the face to a Man who gave all of himself for our Country. This "law", the "safe" act, is an infringement​ of our Second Amendment Right to protect ourselves, our families and other Americans, repeal this act, NIW!!!

I think leniency should be used in his sentencing. His coviction should be thrown out. He is an Army veteran and father of a special needs son that depends on him.

The Safe Act is illegal to begin with. This man should not be charged. Charge Cuomo for rights violations.
