This guy is not a criminal. Taxpayer's money ought to be spent to protect the public from real criminals, we have plenty of those, let's not waste precious resources on trivial cases like this.

Simean is not a bad guy. He has a son who needs him and he has sacrificed much in the name of this nation.

These laws are ineffective, arbitrary and nonsensical. They are simply tools by show boating politicians to give people the illusion of safety. These far left leaning pieces of legislation are as bad for democracy as the far rights legislation. This soldier deserves better from his countrymen

What's this world coming to? The 21 year sentence for that is bull crap! He wasn't endangering anybody's safety by being in possession of those, since no gun was found in the vehicle.
