I live in a neighborhood which would be impacted by this proposal directly. This proposal would also damage the economy of my local community of Mystic, which is presently thriving. Repair and improve existing infrastructure, that is the way forward.

Amtrak spent billions to electrify the rail lines along the shore, decreasing property values all the way. It also creates nightmares for public safety when they have to respond to incidents on the railway. The electrification was THE MOVE into the 21st century! This is a severe abuse by a pseudo-federal agency of taxpayer dollars!!!

I oppose this. This would put the train uncomfortably close to my home.

I am opposed to the proposed path and have sent my proposal to NEC Future for consideration.

I can safely bet that proponents of this new railway do not live in the beautiful, historic, family-oriented towns that are in it's path. It is a different feeling when you are standing in front of the bucket side of the bulldozer, as opposed to sitting behind the wheel. This is a concept I am asking decision makers to ponder, and then reweigh the supposed benefits and exorbitant cost vs the immediate and long term negative impacts. There is a better way.

Negative impacts and cost far outweigh a few minute reduction in travel time. Repair existing line.

I completely oppose the proposed railway bypass from Old Lyme to Kenyon. It is an environmental disaster and a horrible choice to even consider in this area. Please consider another plan.

i live in westerly and find the train is very accessible in the center of town. I live near the the down town and often see people walking by my home with their luggage ,it would truly just add to the suburban sprawl to move the train out of the more populated areas. Please don't do it.

This plan should not be allowed. It will cause irreparable harm to our beautiful historic towns. Why would anyone be so callous and ignorant to come up with such a plan? Greed I suppose.
