There's a great big hill above the seashore that could surely accommodate such a development. Leave the waterfront and trees for ALL to enjoy. That's what draws people to the area.

We are already straining to accommodate what we presently have! No more waterfront desecration..

Totally inappropriate. Definitely would reject any proposals that involve developing anything more than low density. It should be a park!

Sechelt is a gem and the waterfront should be responsibly managed. More high rise is not the answer. The waterfront should be visible just like it is in Davis Bay.

Contravenes Official Community Plan. Why not make it part of a much needed, undeveloped waterfront park for wildlife to enjoy so we can continue to enjoy the wildlife! Once it is gone, that is it for un or low density Downtown waterfront :(

The proposed development does not make sense at all! I agree with all previous comments that the natural beauty and peacefulness of the area would be destroyed with such a development. It would also have a serious impact on the traffic in the intersection, which is already stressed. In addition to the new developments on the hill, the infrastructure would need huge improvements to accommodate all the extra traffic. Definitely a no to the proposed waterfront development.

Way too cliche for waterfronts all over the world. We have the space and the intelligence to do things differently here!!! Ridiculous proposal...not good! We don't even have the water resources for this

I walk here almost every day, I do not agree with the rezoning at all. Let us all enjoy the waterfornt, there is not much left where the public can walk.

I'm new to Sechelt, but this is a beautiful area and this development would ruin the water front for everyone. I agree with a previous comment - build on the hill, not the waterfront.

Build on the hill. Be creative on the waterfront.

Infrastructure can not accommodate this. Not to mention this is not the kind of housing people on the coast are in search of; costs will undoubtedly be sky high. Simple.

Why oh why on the waterfront.Development is good for all kinds of reasons, but you only have one waterfront and it should be for all to enjoy.

Too much congestion. High volume of traffic already. Ruining the beautiful waterfront.

Gibson's lost out to The George. Sechelt can learn from this and ensure that their waterfront does not become the prize of the privileged.

This is one of the most beautiful spots on the Sunshine Coast and certainly in Sechelt. Putting up such a massive development will definitely impact the waterfront area negatively. Plus the additional traffic here would likely require another stoplight and congestion which will back traffic up going both north and south - especially when ferry traffic is going through. Something much smaller should be considered.

Rezoning this beautiful spot of land to attempt to accommodate such structures is simply ludicrous. Please do not allow this development.
