Stop the LED lighting. If they won't stop with the LED then there is no reason to use such high wattage! Use a bulb that produces less light and stop blinding people.

Let’s give stargazing another chance. Along with that, how about we enjoy the moonlight.

I agree that these led lights are unhealthy for the public. I have read and listen to there potential to emit radiation cancer causing effects. As well as tracking devices and possible 5g antennas. They are a crime and should be removed. Check out save us now" site by mark steele in Britain.

I recently visited the Bay area and was shocked how dark it was there compared to Seattle. The street lights here are abnoxious and much too bright. I would love to see Seattle update the following: more directed or shielded light, reduction in quantity of lights (these do not need to be every 15ft as on some neighborhoods), and have the proper amber light that reduces glare and helps with light pollution.

I am so happy that the city has decided to take action! Thank you for letting the citizens have a say in what you do.

New is not always better! What were you thinking? Or are the big corporations that deep in your pockets?
Please remove those new LED lights ASAP. They are bad for humans and animals. We have enough light pollution as it is.
Remember who you work for.

I have called many Seattle city people about this, seems they don't really care all that much. One of the main ladys in charge said they conducted many studies and had discussion groups and so on about LED street lights. I complained they they produce WAYYYYYY too much glare at night especially when it is raining... and the lady said they didn't conduct any research on the impact of the LED street lights at night when it is wet/raining.... WE LIVE IN SEATTLE, where it rains most of the winter months, you think they would have taken that into consideration. Oh well...Also, she said they do have little 2"-3" or so blinders/glare shields they can put on the light, but did not. That would have at least helped with the glare.... just another example of someone sitting in an office somewhere and thinks they know whats best for the people of Seattle. :-(..... please at least switch to lower kelvin LED lights... PLEASE!!!!!!

The lights are too blue and I haven't slept well since they were installed. They are unhealthy for both humans and wildlife.

f you hate these glaring lights, write the City Council. And for a specific light, contact [email protected] or go to their website to file a complaint. They will get around to it whenever they feel like it and no one will contact you. They can shade them so they don't glare into your home. I wish they would just fix this problem so I don't have to wear a baseball cap at night.
