Shortly after the September 14th election for the Seward Park Co-op Board of Directors, a director tendered his resignation, creating a vacancy on the Board.

Because he resigned after the election, our by-laws direct a majority of the remaining Board to choose his replacement for the next year.

We, the undersigned, believe that this vacancy should be filled by Katie Roumel, who was the first runner up in the September 14th election.  Katie has shown a serious commitment to serving our co-op, and 415 shareholders supported her candidacy.  We urge the current Board to appoint Katie Roumel to fill the vacancy and to seat her on the Board in the interest of fairness and democracy.

Total common sense. she was the runner up so she gets the spot. stop making this harder than it needs to be.

Katie is the obvious choice here. She had the votes and she should be in that seat. Do the right thing.
