I have started this online petition to get signatures to demand for seatbelts to be put on ALL school buses to help keep our children safe! Unfortunately I've recently learned the hard way that this should have been done a long time ago! My son was recently injured in a school bus accident in Worcester,Ma and is now suffering from a serious concussion which requires him to stay out of school and also to go to lots of doctor and neurological appointments! So I'm starting this petition to protect all of our children so that none of them may have to endure what my son is currently going through! If the law states the the bus drivers must wear seatbelts then why isn't is required for our children to wear one? Isn't their safety just as important!? DON'T LET THIS BE YOUR CHILDREN!

The stories coming in from other families confirm that my son’s experience is far from an isolated incident. I am currently working to bring these accounts directly to the school board so they can no longer ignore the reality of our current transportation safety standards.

Reaching this level of support confirms that many of you share the conviction that student safety on our roads needs urgent attention. It is heartening to see this conversation expand beyond my own family and into the wider community. We are building the collective momentum required to finally bring this essential change to our school buses.

I believe all school busses needs seatbelts, there are too many accidents, we need to protect our children
this is a great idea but you would definitely have to have seat belt cutters in case of an accident or fire on the bus.
My child takes the school bus, and I don't think it's okay for them nor to wear seat belts. She's 7. But if I don't have her in a seat belt in the car. I get a ticket !
This is a serious manner. Not to mention we, meaning MA, are one of the few states that don't already have this law!
Yes, but same would be the case in your own vehicle, but that doesn't prevent us from making sure our children are buckled up daily!

The bus driver has a seatbelt on but our children don't ummmmm what's wrong with that picture!!
