Fantastic idea to make this iconic ship into an artificial reef, sink her at a depth that will allow recreational diving in a destination that can be dived for the best part of the year.
Also shows our continued support for a former empire country that gave so much to help preserve freedom for the allied force, who without Malta would not have been able to defeat axis forces in North Africa. A great gratitude owed to a small island

A fitting memory for all those who served their countries in these waters, as Malta has always been such a strategic position in the Mediterranean. Plus it would be an awesome wreck to dive!

Given the important location of malta during the wars, and the number of war related wrecks already there, it would be a very good place for the Illustrious to rest.

My grandpa was on the Illustrious when it was once attacked by Germans so I think it is a good idea.
