Cables should be moved underground or re-routed away from our residential areas. It can be done and has been done. National Grid's south eastern regional operator EDF Energy have recently removed pylons and moved cables underground in a 1.2km section of a residential part of West Sussex. This is exactly what we require.

I have been busy writing letters to the local council and the utility providers to keep the pressure on our request. It is honestly humbling to see how many people care about the safety of our neighborhoods because this started as such a small thought in my head.

Living in chapel house for 10 years now and these things are a constant concern for health. Get them buried underground where they belong.
About time we got rid of these eyesores. They lower the house prices and nobody wants their kids playing near them.
Imagine having to look at those massive things every single day. Totally unfair for the people living in abbey farm.
They are right outside my bedroom window. Look awful and i worry about the noise they make during the night.
Get rid of them.

Dangerous and ugly! Newcastle council needs to wake up and start listening to the residents for once.
