A High Voltage DC cable is proposed to be laid across the Wirral to connect Connah's Quay to Scotland. This petition is to voice the concerns of local residents and influence the proximity of the cable route to residential properties.
This is a fairly new technology and insufficient data is available to prove that there are no long term health risks when living close to the cables.
We, the undersigned propose that the cable route does not pass within 50m of any residential properties.

I have been spending my evenings reviewing the proposed route maps and comparing them against the streets where our families actually live. The anxiety in our neighborhood remains high because the planners still refuse to provide clear answers about long term electromagnetic exposure. We are currently scouting for legal experts who can help us challenge these specific distance requirements.

Too close for comfort. My family has lived on this street for 20 years and we deserve better than this.
Not happy at all. They shouldnt be experimenting with us by putting these cables so close to where we sleep.
50m is not enough space anyway but it is a start. Put it elsewhere.
Keep it away from the houses!!! Why choose the path that goes through a residential area when there is so much open land nearby?
Ridiculous to put this near homes. We dont know the long term risks and my kids play in the garden right where it is planned to go. Move it further away!

My house value is going to plummet if this goes through. None of us were consulted properly about this nonsense.
