just terrible, who are they to judge what the internet is for, we are not living back forwards to wards the stone age but should be going forwards. Who are they to judge what the internet is for. Just disgusting eastlink will do anything to get an extra buck, they provide the worst customer service. They just jealous that netflix took their shine, didn't have to be that way if eastlink didn't charge double the amount of what their Basic service is worth, was $100 but now in matter of 2-3 years went up to $150-$170 for the BASIC, they'll lose alot of customers if they don't smarten up!

My sister and her family suffered through using this crap, one of her highlights of moving last fall was being able to get real internet ! Unnecessary .. All of it

The intent of the minimum levels are based on service levels of years ago when the rural inequities were starting to be addressed. Internet usage has changed, dramatically. This cap will further marginalize rural Nova Scotians -- yes restricting access to streaming services is part of it, but also access to online education and employment opportunities. Effective Internet speeds are necessary to grow the economy of our province!

We r getting eastlink broadband internet service unhooked today because of there crappy service... When witth xplornet! Much better..

I use the Internet for work and home, report card writing alone will take up all the data cap so I am frustrated that rural services would be cut like this just so you can make more money off people

This is ridiculous! I'm not even from the area but the fact that a company is doing this makes me sick to my stomach. It shows that they care about money more than all their customers.

I'm not in a rural area now, but I grew up in one. Although my eastlink wifi is fine because I'm in town it's outrageous to expect my family and friends who do live rural to pay for such poor internet service, and have a cap on top of that! If this continues I'll be switching my eastlink service and I'll be urging others to do the same ! Step up eastlink.
