I feel this is a money grab, plain and simple. So scrap this idea, increase our service to actual High Speed. Then we will get what we are paying for now!

Rural areas are growing in population but service has not been upgraded. This must be a cash grab to pay for improvements that will have to be made to support the increased population in rural areas. This is not fair to current Eastlink customers

To bring Broadband for Rural Nova Scotia, our gov't hired Eastlink to provide internet to all of N.S. , with $19.6 million from the province, up to $14.5 million from the federal government and $40.4 million from Eastlink, Seaside Wireless and OmniGlobe Networks. We pay the same monthly fee for 1.5 mbps as Halifax citizens pay for 5mbps. They are not capping City usage, but Rural areas. Is that fair ? No . . We cannot get bundles in rural areas, therefore pay bigger money for our phones, our internet, and out tv ....Come on people ! . . .We need to fight back . . .

Internet caps are the most idiotic thing ever. Just upgrade the rural routes and stop providing low bandwidth connections. Standardize all your services for cost savings Eastlink.

Think of how many customers you might lose in the process.

I have had your service for years and years and you do this to me! Horrible way to do business. Nexicom is looking pretty good right now.

I will cancel my Internet if there is a cap. I often wondered why anyone would go with a company that caps their usage...I will DEFINITELY not be one of those people. I'd rather have no Internet than to be treated with disrespect by a company who seemingly punishes people for living in a rural community.

I implore you to please contact your local MLA on this issue as well as the NS Govt to make them aware of this issue! I completely agree, remove the cap and upgrade the towers and hardware, if Eastern NS can go up to 5 Mbps with Seaside, then I do not see why Eastlink cannot do the same!

please don't do this. It discriminates against rural areas.
