Typical corporate greed. Eastlink needs to provide a reliable, high speed service before thinking of capping their substandard service or charging extra for it.

Eastlink failed at its completion date byYEARS as there are still areas without service and now we are going to reward them with outrageous fee hikes. The government should stand up to them and stop this before it starts

This is so unfair and if your think for one minute that people is going too put up with this, You Are Wrong, When this happens , I will hook up internet box thru Telus , again, anyone out there with poor internet service , this is a great option for you & It will be Star Choice here I come !!! AS Bell Aliant is another RIP OFF

Costs me, with taxes $89.16 a month for internet only, 18M download, 1.2 upload. Eastlink has a monopoly which is wrong, we're getting crappy service, costing more and going up, com on Alaint get out here in Hardwood Lands so I can give Eastlink the boot. Worst is I'm not even getting kissed but I sure am getting....well you get the drift

2007 service at 2015 prices. People are paying for a service to which they often have no access because the speeds are too slow to connect. As soon as another provider comes into this area, it's bye-bye Eastlink.

Broadband for Rural Nova Scotia initiative is a complete joke. This was supposed to be completed by the end of 2014 and here I am with an address that doesn't have rural broadband. Easlink postponed our hook up because they needed a boom truck to tie into the line, To do this, Eastlink claims they need a Team of Engineers to assess the amount of work needed, which will take 2-3 weeks. Once they've assessed the work and put in an order, they will schedule a time for the work to be done and then schedule the installation. It could be months before we have service, and not just internet service but phone and tv too. Ridiculous! We moved from one rural address with Eastlink internet and it barely worked...impossible to online game or watch netflix and forget about scheduled updates for iTunes or Virus Software. I can't even netfile my taxes or update my address with Access NS without timing out. Its so annoying. This is the pathetic broadband service that NS government signed with Eastlink and NOW THEY WANT TO CAP THEIR CRAPPY SERVICE! You must be kidding?!?!? Tell me, why didn't the government put their money into Bell Fibreop? Its the only service that's actually reliable. I'm so frustrated. To use the internet I have to use my cellular internet, which costs a fortune. Why does my civic address mean I don't deserve the same service as those in town?
