Scrap the Eastlink Rural WiFi usage cap

WE SOON WONT BE ABLE TO AFFORD ANYTHING. ONLY LAND LINE IF THE PRICES KEEP GOING UP

I am tried of company's taking advantage of their customers

Eastlinks decision to cap rural usage needs to be stopped, all that agree please REPOST this and SHARE, We need to send a message. This should outrage everyone !!!! as rural residence we are going to be dealt with differently than people in more populated areas. THIS IS DISCRIMINATION !!!!!! I for one would be cancelling, and every Eastlink customers should do the same. It's big business exploiting the little guy,, that being us....Anyone that streams shows from NETFLIX Would max out to the $20 in a hurry.

Goes down often. Extremely slow. Would be smarter to offer a better service, for a small amount more, rather than to charge more for a service that mostly can't be used.

This is price gouging

Netflix fired up in Canada in 2010 and Eastlink doesn't have the smarts to upgrade. This might be a self inflicted wound for them. If it comes to be, I am leaving them. I will upgrade to dial up lol. Eastlink is pathetic.

I am presently an Eastlink customer but their stance on this matter is giving me pause to consider switching.

Given that users have not been given any formal notice and that the NS taxpayer has already heavily subsidized this program, this is nothing less than piracy. Any reputable company would have given 6 to 12 months notice along with detailed information on usage. It is already a lousy service and to now have to potentially pay 50 to 75 percent more for the same level of service is unacceptable. In my case I am not dependent on this service and plan to drop it if no changes are forthcoming. A monopoly exists and Eastlink is gouging its clients. Regards Bob Burke

I have the wireless broadband internet and it doesn't work half the time! It certainly isn't worth what I'm paying for it now and if they want more money I will tell them what they can do with it. We need better service!!!

We need real high speed internet not Caps.

what a joke when I signed up there was no talk of a cap. I used 30 gigs in 13 days when you log on to facebook videos start on their own. you have kids and friends come over, what do you say sorry kids Eastlink has capped us no internet for you.

My eastlink internet is horrible , dail up is just about as fast . If this goes though I hope everyone cancels their internet , see how fast they change their minds .

What happens to small businesses that are being run through there houses. What happens to people when they are on a budge and can't afford there so called internet package.

All that they care is $$$ by any means: gouging the consumers, tricking and ripping off. Otherwise they call themselves "proudly Canadian", but do they care that through their actions they are contributing to the death of the rural Nova Scotia. Someone must stop them because it seems to them that we were not paying outrageous amounts of money for one of the lousiest internet speeds in the world. Put part of the profits in expanding network infrastructure, don't pocket all the profits year over year!

Prices keep rising and service keeps dwindling. I guess they want to cap the Internet usage because people are streaming things like Netflix, newscasts etc and they don't pay the outrageous fees for cable. So, Eastlink says we are going to get your money one way or another. Bad, bad service.

If this goes thru im leaving eastlink asap
