Being a rural customer with "High Speed" Services from Eastlink. I find it detrimental and unfair that the ones that barely have good service will now be restricted even more than someone that lives in a high density population. When one has a monopoly like Eastlink has, it puts us under the thumb even more. The argument that it isn't meant for high streaming services is ridiculous, due to the fact that the on demand systems in place with their Cable TV system people are getting more and more fed up with its poor selection and quality. Making the streaming services a much more viable solution.

we should have access to an affordable and RELIABLE Internet service.

Time to upgrade this service. A cap is no solution at all.

Rural broadband is NOT an acceptable service for home based offices. I worked for many years on a VPN (virtual private network) connected to my office in Ontario. I pay tax and contribute to my community and economy here. We have east link cable within a few hundred metres but they refused to run it to our road. We sincerely consider moving on order to get adequate Internet! I had them on speed dial to report issues - sometimes daily. Fortunately BellAliant saved the day and I have adequate service. It has made such a difference, you wouldn't believe, in my work life!!

I have already disconnected Eastlink's internet service to my home. Too many phone calls regarding the poor quality of internet and paying too much money. I had enough. Looking for a new service provider, but that's not going well.

I would love to be able to pay for better service.....but alas it is not available in my area. Raising the rates will alienate some who are not able to afford it. It simply doesn't make sense to further cut off rural Nova Scotia. If we leave for better service where are you going to get your food??

If they try to do this to me I wont be with them anymore, we have got to show these companies we are not taking the shit that they hand us.

I don't think people and businesses living in rural NS should be penalized by having their internet usage capped. It's not happening in the cities, only rural communities.

Once again rural communities are being targeted as we often don't have any other option for internet service.

East link profits from rural customers, so these customers should be served well.

I live in a area which I love that doesn't have cell service which I can deal with. We had dial up Internet from bell then we were able to get somewhat high speed from Eastlink. So I have a billl from Bell for a landline and a bill for cell phone so I can function at my job and then I have an internet bill , all together it is 350 a month. Now companies want more money

Penalizing rural areas because of Netflix....are you kidding me! Where are the upgrades. We can only hope that we soon have another alternative.
