Scrap the Cap -living in a rural area should not mean "entitled to less". Notice they are not going to institute the caps where folks can get other providers - only where we have no other choice. They don't even provide cable for the area where I live. The internet here is limited enough without the caps - ie low speed high speed.

I have not had good service with Eastlink. They act like they have a monopoly and therefore can do what they like with little regard to service. I will note that in spite of these attitudes trier techies are always courteous and do the best they can.

Internet access is like a utility, it is required to grow our rural economy.

Eastlink is planning to gouge customers rather than upgrade their service. It is shameful.

more money for a service that does not work well. my service has been up and down for 5 years and they can never fix it. the last reprsentative told me the reason for having no internet was because of the rain drops on the trees were creating mirrors and making me lose my connection, come on now give me a break. we can't get cable back here and the computer is my only way to see the news and yes watch netflix.

Eastlink's entry into the telecom market freed Nova Scotia from the oppressive and monopolistic clutches of Aliant. Now it seems like the tables have turned where Eastlink refuses to improve without serious competition, even going so far as to cap rural speeds for a quick money grab instead of investing in their infrastructure to improve the lives of their customers. Last year I switched from Eastlinks 20/2 package to Bell Aliant's 50/30 (now 100/30) fibre package without a change in price. Ouch.

15GB is a joke. The only reason Eastlink is doing this is because the Rural customers have nowhere else to go. If they tried this on their Cable everyone would be on Bell by the end of the month.

Scrap this or you will loose my long-time business. I just purchased additional cable services from Eastlink and if this is how you repay good customers.. I don't think I want to do business with you anymore. It's biased. If you are cutting service to some and not others that's preferential treatment and just wrong...

Service so frustrating at times! Why do we have to wait 10 days for a service call?? Any progressive company would reinvest in upgrades, don't you think, to keep up with the times?? Scrap the cap!

All of my services are through eastlink but this is probably the silliest idea the company has ever had. Like why? It's not like people aren't using their internet. Please don't try to be Ontario. Nova Scotia is better than that!
