They are punishing those who use the internet for TV :P.... because i will never go back to paying for cable again.....that is a rip off ... and this is their way of getting the money they have lost to people like me who has tripled internet usage to avoid cable bills. Way to go Eastlink !!! You got a fibre optic back bone running from halifax to the french shore that you did not have to pay for ....We did the tax payers... and now you want to up rates.... What a joke

Poor internet, poor customer service and now we're expected to pay more for even less.

It's ridiculous. They can't cover their lack of planning and poor judgement with consumer dollars and they sure as hell shouldn't profit from it.

Deplorable behavior by this company. Discrimination by locale? Shameful.

Improve the product, add value, and then raise prices.

What an unacceptable, embarrassing example of how to run a business that provides a modern service to the rural public.

Everytime another provider would call I would proudly announce that" I have been with Eastlink for years and am quite satisfied ,,Thankyou" Not anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cap is so low that most users will end up paying the overage fee of $20 just to continue using the Internet as they do now. The net result of this policy change is, therefore, simply a rate increase of almost 50 % disguised as a tactic to improve service. Devious and clever way to screw its customers.

"Wasn't meant for streaming, but rather for web browsing". What, you thought you were being given that money from the government to supply Cave men?

Don't see a need for capping as we are paying enough now for our internet. It seems to be all for eastlink to make money. it's all about money.

COST IS HIGH ENOUGH NOW WITHOUT ADDING MORE CHARGES.

PLEASE. STOP!!!! I just read that Eastlink is getting another 2.3 million from the Federal Government. This is on top of 20 million they received from the Province and 14 million from the Feds. Please stop giving this firm money when it. Has not met its performance criteria . And the Premier says there is nothing he can do?
