Stop the council killing businesses!!

Absolutely ridiculous scheme which is typical of this vale council. So out there of touch. Thre is a cost of living issue across the authority plus there again proposing a council tax increase plus a cut in services. This is one of the wealthiest local authorities in the country yet they constantly try to beat the occupants down by proposing stupid initiatives like this. It’s unwarranted and a smear to small businesses in the vacinaty.

Absolutely disgusted with our council considering this during the cost of living crisis. Preventing people from enjoying their local community beauty spots.

It's great to know that our local councillors have no desire to encourage people..local and tourists to visit our fantastic beach areas and support local businesses. As usual let's put more economic pressure on the public and make them pay for the privilege.....shame on you all in the Vale council.

Parking in Barry island is already difficult. Local people should be able to visit without charge

I’m a business owner on Holton Road ,in May my shop turns 60 Years old , Since Covid all the vale want to do is destroy any small businesses. There’s hardly any footfall in Barry town centre as it is!!! All the vale are concentrating on is the waterfront. Where are we supposed to Park our cars during business hours? The Teachers from Holton Road school rely on the car park like myself everyday. It feels like nobody cares about the shops on Holton Road Yet another nail in the coffin !!! All these people care about is lining their pockets,they’re determined to destroy Barry Town Centre. Such a shame

9 Courtlands, Hayes Road, Sully, Penarth Barry

How are you supposed to access these local areas if you are priced out of parking. Not everyone can walk from their home to enjoy the spaces we have. Shame on you .

I object against this proposal

Absolutely ridiculous to charge so much. The yearly cost doubled last year and now this. As a local I want to enjoy and support my local area but we are being priced out of our own areas.

the introduction of these charges would be hugely detrimental to small and local businesses who are having a really hard time as it is.

With the very popular Gavin and Stacey, Barry Island has and will bring a lot of tourists to the area. The council do not want to put people off visiting , by charging for parking . We should be encouraging not discouraging visitors.
