As a Barry resident I am able to park in these areas when exercising our dogs, they should be kept charge free.

This council is ruining Barry and the Vale, public transport over the island is poor so most people have to take there cars.

This will totally destroy local businesses and put the public off visiting
People need the 2 hour free parking to nip into the local area

This needs to be stopped, it will affect all local public wanting to visit. And local businesses.

Charging £10 a day is absolutely ridiculous and will stop people visiting. Businesses in the town are already struggling and being charged this amount for parking will definitely stop people coming to visit

Absolutely disgusting think of the businesses that will lose out of people just stopping for a quick coffee or food.

I am totally against brining in parking meters. I think this will damage the economy at Barry Island.

I’ve been going here with my father since I was a little girl nearly every day after school and late nights to watch the night sky over the waves. I’ve started the same tradition with my daughter who’s 2 years old as my father passed when I was 8 months pregnant it makes me feel closer to him and doing this will limit me being able to spend time with my daughter over the island making memory’s and feeling close to my father and carrying on a tradition. The whole of Barry’s heart is at the island and I feel like with this happening it will cause the fun fare to close as they have been struggling for years anyway so this will end up pushing them over board and same with local businesses in the area too.
