SCOTTSDALE HEIGHTS OPPOSITION FROM TERRAVITA

I appeal to the Scottsdale City Council to not approve the high density of the Scottsdale Heights development. It is not in keeping with our community here in the High Sonoran Desert. Traffic will become an issue and the change of the way the water flows off that property right into Terravita Golf and Country Club community is totally unacceptable.

This proposed development is totally out of character with the existing housing developments in the area of North Scottsdale. The beauty and tranquility of the area is something that makes North Scottsdale special and valued by its residents. This high density apartment type housing is more appropriate for a downtown/urban site not North Scottsdale. Please do not approve this application, it will be a big mistake and destroy the character of the area.

I oppose this development at the corner of Scottsdale and Dove Valley

I feel the project is not in keeping with the area around it and the increase in traffic at that spot on Scottsdale Road would be a big problem.

I like our density and low traffic demands.

I completely object to this proposed development, It is totally out of keeping with the area, where (to date) development has been sensitively and thoughtfully handled.

We oppose the 78 unit development at the corner of Scottsdale and Dove Valley Roads and changing the zoning to allow the building of this 78 unit.

Stop the insanity

Don't like the density, "sameness", lack of creative appearance. Show the neighbors that you will be a "good" citizen and continue the desert lifestyle. This project lacks the "hominess" of good design. It needs more open spaces. Wake up and don't hurt our neighborhood!

Too much density, repetition, building height and commercial appearance. It needs more open spaces. Why should we like this project when we haven't even seen what the buildings will look like and "feel" like?

This development is out of character with the entire area. No mention if this development can be converted to Apartments - if that is the case Zoning should prohibit that at the very least. Very little has been done to consider the traffic impact of the entrance and exit to this proposed development. Even given the current low volume of traffic trying to exit the area to turn left and proceed south on Scottsdale Rd this is a mess - accidents waiting to happen. At a very minimum a traffic light is needed. Please continue to respect the character of the Northern Scottsdale community.

A project with this density does not belong in North Scottsdale.

Traffic is my major concern. I come out of the Terravita Dove Valley exit every day, and it is dangerous now. Having 500 more cars coming out of this proposed development and trying to turn left towards 101 will be very dangerous. Serious accidents will happen for sure.

My wife and I oppose this project.
