Final supporters
We the undersigned residents of North Scottsdale oppose the planned 78 multi unit residential development at the corner of Scottsdale Road and Dove Valley Road. We believe the number of dwelling units per acre, 5.6, is too dense and out of character in comparison to the existing neighborhoods, and that the proposed development does not meet the goals of the General Plan.
Therefore, we oppose the zoning change request.

I spent the entire morning staring at the city planning documents again because those density projections really do not make any sense when you look at the actual street layout. My neighbor brought over coffee and we spent an hour just venting about the traffic nightmare this is going to create at the corner of Dove Valley. I promise I am still working on the formal letter for the council meeting even if it feels like things are moving way too slowly.

This development's density is much too high and is at odds with the character of the surrounding area. Also, the local infrastructure, including schools, can not support the anticipated population increase.
We need to preserve the numbers of people allowed per acre of devoped land in order to preserve wildlife and the natural use of the desert space. Otherwise we would all live in downtown Phoenix.
I did see the plat map I did not see that they were planning to do two stories are you sure about that there are no two stories for several miles and we should not allow that
As a 21 yr. resident of Scottsdale, I find this proposal a travesty. I recognize that there is no way to totally stop development in the north Scottsdale corridor, but can't imagine one good reason to change zoning to allow greater density other than more money to the developer/builder. Pls. keep our land at the least density possible.
This could possible lower the property values of our pristine desert neighborhood. This is over-development will also be harmful to the desert ecology and the environment overall.
The proposed High density is totally out of character for the area
This project does not belong in north Scottsdale. Too dense.

I oppose the planned 78 unit development as it is not consistent with the wishes of the local community. High density housing (Affordable Housing) should be located to job and public transportation related communities. Neither criteria applies at this location.
