Please please set a standard for the UK and regulate animal rescues

There are too many of these supposed rescues out there. I'm sure many of them are well-meaning, but I think they need to be regulated and regularly assessed to avoid tragedies such as this. We need to be the voice of the animals as they can't speak for themselves. I also think they need to be regulated to avoid members of the public being scammed.

what is wrong with these sick people . These poor animals have been through enough , never mind ending up in a place that's probably worse than what they came out of . Something needs to be done to sort these sickos out . Disgusting excuses for human beings .

We have to be the voice for those that don't have their own

Our dog Bruce was stolen from us and ended up at the Ayrshire Ark. He did not make it out alive! We are calling for licensing and regulation. All public donations accounted for. We call for tougher sentencing for 'all' involved, with what should be illegal handling, and cruelty of animals. Please please share and sign so the public can lay trust in the genuine hardworking rescue centres.

Time to stop this neglect / cruelty from the very people who are supposed to keep them safe ,

This is for Ozzie and the other animals that think they are being saved and end up being treated worse than before. It's a shame that the good rescues are brought to people's attention, rather than the worst. The Ayrshire Ark staff and organiser should be strung up!!

I am a vet surgeon. All "sanctuaries" and "shelters" should be just that. Animal rescue facilities aimed at alleviating animal suffering and allowing new homes to be found, not just enabaling hoarders to scam funding from well meaning members of the public to fund their misguided efforts. Shelters should be assessed, regulated and regularly assessed and exact details of all animals present at any given time should be available and verified at any visit, scheduled or not.

This abuse must stop! God help these poor souls depending on these evil beings!!

These 'pop up' rescues need stopping. Regulations and regular inspections are needed on rescue, they also MUST be registered charities.

There needs to be governing of 'rescue centres' in the whole of the UK

Disgusting that this could ever have happened to a defenceless dog! Should never be allowed to happen again.

Need more regular checks on these places as this should never have happened

Regulation needs to be implemented sooner and not later so other animals do not suffer in the hands of people who do not have a clue as to how to run a rescue .
