It is horrifying and sickening to see how these poor animals were left uncared for and to die. I am so pleased to see a campaign to stop this dreadful treatment. We are supposed to be a nation of animal lovers and most people do genuinely care. The people who managed Ayrshire Ark should be prosecuted an put in prison,

Scottish Government please give powers to authorities police spca to be able to inspect at any time. Eg care inspectorate methods. Why in this day and age should places like this exist

The animal welfare world has its bad characters, along with those who underestimate the cost in time and money of looking after animals with homing and health problems. However, I was shocked to find the SPCA was deficient in its attention to obvious animal neglect, yet, that same group can go flying into a person's home on the whim of a nuisance phone call, that some cat or dog is being neglected. They seem to attend more to small issues, but, on occasions blind eye flagrant neglect and cruelty! Thank God for resolute groups like Animal Concern and Scotland for Animals.

The law wouldn't allow children to suffer in this way, neither should defenceless animals! It needs to change now!!!
