We the undersigned voters of Scott County, respectfully ask you (the commissioners of Scott County) to do what you were elected to do and act in the best interest of the citizens you were elected to represent, and hire the only applicant for the job of Scott County Assessor that has the qualifications and experience to do the job, Julie Moore.
The scale of this response is sufficient to move the conversation into a formal setting. I have sent a request for a meeting with the commissioners to present these findings and push for the appointment of Julie Moore.

Julie has been a dedicated employee and resident of this community for many years. Why in the world would a person who spends no money in this county, contributes nothing to our community, and, from what we have been told, is not as qualified as Julie, be hired for a position that one of our own is qualified and prepared for?

Julie Moore has worked hard for Scott County an the assessor's office. She is very well qualified having passed all the tests to become an assessor. What kind of qualifications does this other person have? Is Scott County going to have to pay for this person to become qualified? Commissioners why on earth go outside of Scott County when you have the most qualified person already onboard? Makes no sense to me. Would like to hear your reasoning.

Julie knows the job and the people of Scott County, really a bad move on the commissioners part hiring outside of the county you are supposed to be taking care of

I am from Scott County and will be moving back soon. This is so unfair and I hope it gets fixed properly and everybody remembers when the commissioners of Scott County are up for re-election.

This is crazy that they went out of county for this job and hired someone unqualified for the position. Would be interesting to hear reasons behind this decision.
