My son is now 24 and was in all the sports,t-ball through baseball and pal. It is an awesome program. Keeps the kids busy, learning sportsmanship etc. I don't think the program should be abolished.

This recreation commission has been running smoothly for the past 30-40 years. Please think about the impact this will have on the children. It's not right what they are trying to do here.

The focus should be on the kids. I don't understand what is driving this. There should be an active discussion if this is really needed.

My family loves participating in the Scotch Plains Recreational Department's activities and camps. Their low cost allows my children to enroll in more camps and sports.

The wonderful programs offered by the Recreation Department is something I routinely brag about when introducing new homebuyers to Scotch Plains! I'm so proud of this town & the sense of community, and all the town has to offer. Please don't disband the Recreation Commission!

Please do not disband the wonderful Rec department. They do such a good job, and we use so many of the great programs they offer. I'm not sure why the local government feels the need to take it over. It's doing fine on its own.

Our property tax is high enough-the least you can do is listen to what we want. keep the rec commission as is.

My son has benefited from the Recreation Commission since Kindergarten. He is now headed to High School. It would be a great disservice to the community to eliminate this important organization.
