Tough to understand what we gain. The move seems to strengthen a Union County politician who also serves as SP town manager; call me skeptical of consolidating political authority.

The Township Recreation Commission has been successful governing body for decades, it seems unwise at this time to disband it.

Please spent your time merging the towns. They both have Public sewer now so that division is long over.

The Recreation Commission has been a useful tool for over a half of a century, now why is the time to disband?

Please DO NOT abolish the Scotch Plain Recreation Commission. It is one of the very few institutions in our town that works to near perfection in making numerous programs for our youth work seamnlessly, to near perfection. The numerous volunteers cannot be disenfranchised in their ability to continue to serve our community so selflessly. INstead of abolishing this commission, we should be facillitatigng their efforts to assure the commission's continjued success!

We need a recreation department, the old system is not working. We need to to the best for our childrenand abolishing the program is doing just the opposite. We need to keep STA, and show our children that we support them, and we need to show our children that we truly believe that they can do great things

The rec programs that Scotch Plains runs are one of the best aspects of this town. Do not take them away from our kids. They need to get out and exercise more and spend less time with their faces buried in electronics.
