Our names are Ethan F, Weston F, and Joseph K and we are seventh graders at Terrill Middle School. Every day, parents send their children to school thinking that they will be safe. The recent tragedy in Parkland, Florida has taught us that this isn’t always the case.

Our school district needs to invest in the safety of all of the children of Scotch Plains and Fanwood, New Jersey. Efforts like school IDs for all students, more security guards, and police officers in every building are an investment not only in our schools, but in our future.
