I feel the elementary schools should each have their own resource officer. Sharing a resource officer between elementary schools is unacceptable. The Alternative School should have a resource office also. This is our children and they deserve to be protected just like the middle and high school students.

Our officers do an incredible job but their manpower should not be limited to middle and high schools. They should not be spread so thin between elementary schools and I find it completely unacceptable that the alternative school has no officer at all! There is a tremendous opportunity there to place the right person in that school who can not only reinforce security but also be a mentor to a population of kids who may need it most.

I have so much peace of mind when I see the SRO when I drop my kids off in the morning! Wish he could be there everyday to protect our children!
