If you are against Briar Hill being redistricted out of Kenwood Station Elementary (a top 25 school), which could impact your property values anywhere between 10-25% based on market research, please sign the petition!

The school board thought they could quietly dismantle our neighborhood and steal the value of our homes without a fight. This surge of momentum proves they were dead wrong and now they have no choice but to acknowledge our anger.

We moved to Briar Hill specifically to be in Kenwood's district back in 2008. With a number of principal changes from then to 2016, we have now achieved a sense of stability. I feel strongly that Briar Hill should remain in the Kenwood district to avoid another major disruption.

Kids have made connections with staff and friends. To disrupt this bond would put their concentration at risk.

There are absolutely other options besides Re-zoning Briar Hill Estates and the surrounding neighborhoods out of Kenwood. Why disrupt 100's of families who have already put time, energy and work into this community? The re-zoning decisions have not been made yet...why not send the new residents who don't have any prior history with the school system anyway?

When we moved to this neighborhood, we chose Briar Hill because we wanted to keep our children at Kenwood. Other homes outside of the school district that fit our needs were more affordable and less of a sacrifice for our family. We would not have made this type of investment in our home if we knew our kids wouldn’t be able to stay at Kenwood. And, now if we are rezoned, our property value will likely decrease significantly to boot!

So unfair...Briar Hill was impacted when Kenwood was built. Kids had to leave their friends at Camden Station to attend the new school, and now they want to make them switch back? Different kids, over 10 years later, but still, choose a new neighborhood to disrupt.

We moved from chicago 2 years ago and after touring and researching all of the Crestwood schools, picked Briar Hill Estates specifically for Kenwood Station. We did not take the decision lightly and would be devastated to have to move our kids again against our will to a school that was last on our list out of the Crestwood schools when we bought our house to go to KSE.

There are significant educational, emotional, financial and social implications associated with redistricting Briar Hill students away from a Kenwood Station Elementary. Please do not move our students!

Let the new area go somewhere else.
