In the current financial turmoil, 10% increase in fees by The Abbey is too much.

Times are hard and this kind of increase is going to hurt a vast majority. We chose to send our girls here and we can also choose to send them elsewhere. This may result in other hardships like a longer commute but that decision is for the individual.
Would be nice to know where the additional 10 percent is going. Would not mind too much if it was the teaching staff getting 10 percent but I doubt that has happened.

Currently growing inflation is making us hard to pay the school fees and on top of increasing fees is really making us helpless to cope up the situation. As our kid is in year 11, please consider to keep the fees as low as possible.

What is the plan after signing the petition?
Are we all cancelling the DD? 140 people circa is a lot, it is a matter of being united and not being selfish with our privileges.
We all expected 4-5% fee increase but what happened is unreasonable and poorly communicated.

And if inflation was dropping into negative territory, I’m pretty sure school fees wouldn’t drop. These increases compounded over the next five years at this rate would price out even the upper middle class - what’s the plan here, less pupils paying more rather than more pupils paying less?

Recently school fees were increased to reflect inflation. Further planned increases could be unfair on parents and families

As families increasingly feel the pinch with the rising cost of living , steep fee rise is unfair .

Please consider that some parents may have more than one child we’re paying fees for.

For my daughter’s year this increase looks around 15%. The school my other daughter goes to are increasing by 5.5%. Just too high in the current climate and assumes we can all just find another few thousand £s per year to pay this increase at short notice. Badly thought out and poorly messaged by The Abbey leadership team

This is a huge increase in fees.

May have to consider other options as this fee hike will mean that having two children at the Abbey will not be possible for my family.

As a current parent I feel that the proposed rate of fee increase is pricing us out of the school.
Reduce the increments.
