Appreciate that cost of living is going high however raising fees without any justification is not great!

When other private schools have increased around 5% then why Abbey has to increase fee to 10%. How Abbey is different to other private schools in terms of expenditure. All private schools provide same/similar facilities. I would strongly insist to revise the fee increase otherwise parents might have to find other options if they can not afford this abnormal fee hike.

Kindly look for cost mitigation that would be sensible. This increase is not fair

Having two kids and with rising inflation but no salary increases, it is quite a big increase. Probably the school needs to look at initiating a cost cutting initiative to manage the expenses than charging parents such a big increase.

The fee increase is unjustified considering the external situation right now and many families are struggling with it. We expect cost mitigation rather than a fee increase

It is quite a steep increase indeed, we're not quite convinced by the elements brought forward to justify it.

We feel this isn’t fair on parents who have just joined Abbey after considering other schools. Haven’t seen increase at this rate in any other school. We may need to look for options in the future.

The new fees will present a financial burden on many families. It will become unaffordable for the families with more than one child. The fees should not be increased in the current economic conditions.

The latest increase has caught us by surprise, while we understand that a yearly increase may happen, we don’t understand where the money goes.
We don’t understand how the school has worked out cost saving measures. And why the increase is double the national inflation.
None of us has a yearly wage increase by thousands of pounds.
For those who have more than one child, it becomes clear that the school will become unaffordable with the years passing by.

I appreciate the value that the school provides and understand that costs may rise over time, the new fees will present a significant financial burden for many families.

While inflation is going up the household income is expected to fall by 4.3% in 2022-23 as per OBR. So how you suppose the parents will bear the 10% hike? The other private school around have been seems more sensible and thoughtful of the parents in this difficult time, their hike is within 5-7%. So it shocks us why Abbey had to be nearly 10%. For a parent moving from Junior to Senior it is effectively 32% hike due to this new fee update.

Recent fair hike has been sudden and arbitrary. It’s unfair to do so without taking the families into confidence

It is a direct challenge for all parents who are eating crumbs so their kids can get better education. This increase will force most of us to look for alternative option of education for our children.

Not fair to increase the fee that much. It was increased last term itself.
