School dress code

I believe parents should have a say in how the school (which we support through taxation) educates our children. Children have first amendment rights too. Telling them otherwise is a lie, and this is unsupported by any real research to prove it does anything other than force parents to go out and spend a bunch of money to support your lie.

Words and logos on shirts have no effect on teaching or learning.

I disagree with the change, especially this close to the start of the new year. Some parents already bought kids clothes for back to school and can't afford to purchase more

LETS THE KIDS WEAR WHATEVER THEY WANT

Literally what's the problem? Many of these local children have much expression, and through repressing measurement of creative subtle things like clothing, leads no where but a sore headache for the students. I didnt graduate from this schoolhouse, but i soent my freshmen year their and bith my brothers, and their childhood friends did.. Year after year, you haven't seen a damn dress code put into place. Where's the fun of being in high school if you cant express your passion through the clothes? What about the emo kids, the rapper kids, those theatre and salt life groups? You can take thwir clothes but you can't take their soul...people, especially high school teenagers are gonna express one way or another. I think the situation will confuse staff, cause dismay to many of the children who wish to wear something to school...but than wear the same outfit everyday. I think it should be a reward for going through middle and elementary being made to wear it in our county. These children should be responsible enough to wear clothes and not a) expose sexual organs b) expose graphics with matured content suit for any endanger to someone elses emotions or measurement of conscience. And c) reveal malicious suspicion unto the student. Please. Don't strip these kids of what they just wanna be...themselves.

I think that certain things students wear shouldn't affect the learning environment around the school. If that's the case, there's more issues than just the attire.

Let the kids express themselves. The way kids dress will not affect their learning or learning habits. If students want to succeed then they will.

My daughter is an upcoming 11th grader at SRHS

i believe that we show allow students to express themselves the way they want. I have NEVER heard someone say my shoulders are distracting so let this be a sign that we stand strong and we will fight for what we want!
