This is a complete and disgusting waste of time. I am a mother for three children, and my daughter was bullied last year but not because of her clothes, and the sickest part about this whole dress code is that her administration would rather focus on her clothing rather than her being bullied. Children will completely lose themselves, and if you as a school board think that you won’t lose children to other schools then you are dead wrong, i already know of about 12 children transferring. As a parent I expect you to be teaching my child academics not that the clothes she wears aren’t appropriate!!! That’s my job as a mother!! I do my job, so why can’t you learn how to do your own?! #nodresscode oh and by the way my children WILL be wearing the clothes i have already purchased and I would love it if you send them home, just means i legally get to spend more time with my child!! Good job raising our future leaders of America!

Guys don’t listen to that comment about the confederate flag^^^ so all of a sudden we can’t wear what we want because of something stupid like that?? The confederate flag means MANY things and it’s not racism. It’s about the war. So don’t come on here being ignorant and spitting stuff out like that when in reality if that’s why they’re making this crappy rule then that’s an even bigger problem for them to explain because the confederate flag doesn’t mean anything bad. History teachers have it in their rooms. What you’re trying to hint as is NOT the real meaning of the flag historically. So stop commenting negative stuff and leave.

This is literally pointless. At Mel you can wear pretty much what ever you want and we have the lowest amount of fights and openly expressed bullying issues..... Hmmm

The real reason they’re doing this is because they don’t want kids to wear the Confederate flag! It has nothing to do with ANYTHING ELSE!! Not fashion or discipline or bullying. Wake up! If you went to any of the meetings or if you read any of the minutes of the meetings where the “new” Code of Conduct was discussed, you would know THAT is what is at the heart of all of this.
