School dress code

No uniforms for me

I did not gucci and Louis V out my son Shepard to deal with this. I'm sorry that broke boi brown can't afford designer but that doesn't mean my son should suffer.

We are told that we are the "lost generation", however we will fight for our freedom and liberty and as a student of SRHS I am absolutely appalled by this force of action. Through all my years of schooling I have yet to see an article of clothing that is offensive or has caused a distraction. I am a straight A student and the clothes that my peers wear are not causing my to do worse in school. The students that don't so well and are failing are the same students who don't apply themselves. The same students that could care less about their grade. They don't study or do their work. They don't do well because they don't care, NOT because of what the student next to them is wearing. I would also like to mention all the families that are not able to afford a new wardrobe of clothing. We are young adults and we should be treated as such. We aren't six year olds and I believe that we should be able to have back our freedom of speech. Because we are "the lost generation" we will fight for this until we get results. This action is only creating backlash and chaos. Maybe you need to rethink this dresscode.

Focus on the important things, not logos. Have fun enforcing these pointless codes when you all can’t even maintain the codes already in place, not to mention administration’s lack of control over much more pressing issues than what we wear

As a former graduate of SRHS class of 2006, I think this is absolutely ridiculous! I am so proud of my sister Savannah Waddell starting a petition to fight for the rights of the students. There are far more worse things kids wear or do in school vs. a shirt or piece of clothing with logos, phrases, or words. I think I seen more bras and panties going to school than I owned because half the girls had them hanging out. Maybe worry more about the coverage being distracting vs. logos and words.
