School dress code

I'm a senior and I would like my last year to not be in uniform

My outfits are one of my favorite ways to express myself and I refuse to repress that due to some rule that was clearly not well thought through.

Well should be allowed to wear what we want as long as no parts are popping out

This is uncalled for and ridiculous and extra money that parents should not have to pay. And kids with dual enrollment who only have one to three highschool classes will not abide.

I moved over here from Puerto Rico looking forward to being able to express myself with normal casual clothes instead of wearing a uniform. Not being able to do this now is pretty disappointing

Every kid who goes to high school looks forward to going to school with a free dress code so they can express themselves. When all is middle schools see the light at the end of the tunnel and it just gets slammed in our face. That’s just not right!

I’m genuinely discouraged that a B list school like Sebastian would enforce a dress code that would only prevent them from lawsuits due to perverted faculty members. This is a backwards and obtuse act and I support the cancellation of this dress code

The dress code is literally pure cancer.

If the dress code is to only wear plain shirts with nothing on them then just make uniforms. The dress code shouldn’t be this strict. It’s taking most of there freedom of speech.

I think you'll need a larger ISS building, considering how many of us are 1, not following the new code for personal reasons, and 2, not following the code for financial reasons. I get straight A's and my peers around me wesr plenty of graphic Tees, many of which are colorful. Not once has it disrupted my learning. Rather, it makes the classroom much more interesting. This school system is corrupt, considering that this is an actual issue. Next time you consider doing somethinf like this, allow parents to vote with you. If you had done that, maybe you'd realize the negatives rather than the positives((what are the positives of this????)). I am not financially draining my family to buy new school clothing ((it didn't help that you told us so late)) -ALS

Myself, as well as many of my peers, have conformed to dress codes pretty much up until high school. Now, I understand dress codes are usually put into action to prevent bullying based on clothing, though in the duration of my 3 years at SRHS I have never heard someone judge another because of the brand they wear. On the other hand, I agree that some clothing can be distracting. Once again, everyone who has been participating in the conversations about the new policy have never been distracted by graphic tees. There is only a handful of people who wear vulgar/obscene clothing, and that variety of apparel should not be permitted. Logos/designs/graphics are a form of self expression at SRHS, and many people have a closet full of pretty cool looking shirts. I think there is good intention behind this policy, though it has been taken too far. On the behalf of my peers, this dress code policy should be revisited and revised.

Dis gay

I think this is crazy. And even my parents agree. Oversized/baggy pants & sweatshirts are something that remains school appropriate & cute. tight cloths are similar (ex: leggings , rompers , under body suits)

Graphics is crossing the line. Think harder and come up with better solution

This dress code is in violation of the counties policy, not enforceable

It sucks that kids won't be able to express themselves the way they used to.

Normal dress should be I forced... also why start now
