I would like to make Congress and the general public aware of the safety concerns regarding school buses. There are many school buses that have been \"grandfathered in\" and do not require or allow children to \"buckle up for safety\". This is ridiculous! We have strict laws for cars, including fines. There are statistics showing lower incidences of deaths by wearing seatbelts. I don\'t understand how our most precious cargo, young children, are not required AND not even GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY to save their lives! What are we waiting for, a busload of children to die in a crash before we make this mandatory. Come on politicians and bus manufacturers. It is not about lobbying for money, it is about savings innocent lives. Put this law into action immediately, before it is too late!
