How can survivors of Sexual Assault at Brock feel comfortable or safe in reporting their assaults if this University is okay with having someone like this not ONLY on payroll, but teaching and being allowed to continue to be given access to those he has harmed in the past. In allowing him back to work you are handing him opportunities to repeat his actions.

I praise brock on its recent improvements regarding mental health, the next issue that should be addressed is their poor response and education regarding sexual violence. It's time to protect your students.

I am ashamed at Brock university for allowing him back into classrooms, I do not feel comfortable walking the hallways in case I run into him and I know I am not alone in this

We must hold all men accountable for their actions. Professor Schimmelpenninck should unequivocally not be allowed to return to Brock University in any capacity --- or any university or teaching institution for that matter.

Brock please take actions that will protect your trust in the institution we have as a community and student when we come to brock. It’s hard enough to transition from our regular lives to being a scholar at brock. But going through something like that, a student should never have to see this day. In many cultures they say god is the one who teaches. So is this what you set your example to be ... take the correct actions. Support your student and respect the community.
